Gorgeous goodies for littlies from the Wellness Warehouse

Ok, I don’t know how this is possible, but yesterday marks the first day I ever set foot in the Wellness Warehouse on Kloof Street, Cape Town. Sure, I’d popped into the Cavendish Square branch to stock up on a few necessities (Ella’s Kitchen pouches are a baby bag essential in my house!), but I’d never made the time to pop into the Kloof Street branch. A Wellness Warehouse is a Wellness Warehouse is a Wellness Warehouse, right? Wrong.

I joined my fellow mommy and friend, Kathy (who also happens to be the editor of Mommy Matters, an online parenting and lifestyle magazine), for lunch at the Wellness Cafe and I just couldn’t resist the baby section. I walked away with a selection of bath-time treats for Bean that I was so excited to try, that I used them during Bean’s bath-time last night.

Wellness Baby Insect Balm (R67)
I’ve been looking for a mozzie-repellant that’s safe enough to use on Bean’s delicate skin for a couple of weeks now, so I snapped this one up the minute I spotted it on the shelf. It contains cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, citronella oil and Tea Tree oil (all certified organic) and absolutely no artificial colourants or fragrances. The packaging is also 100% recyclable and biodegradable. I applied this balm sparingly to Bean’s arms, legs and neck before bedtime last night and so far, so good! No itchy rash or redness in sight.
Wellness Baby Shampoo & Body Wash (R78)
This product smells absolutely divine! I actually don’t need another body wash or shampoo for Bean, but Kathy raved about this product (she still uses it on her 3 and a half year old son) and I’m so glad I bought it. I think this is going to become a regular feature in Bean’s bath-time line-up… As with the insect balm, this product contains 100% naturally derived ingredients, no artificial colourants or fragrances, and the packaging is 100% recyclable. I absolutely adore the subtle scent (all natural, of course!) that is left lingering on Bean’s skin… so much so that I can’t bear to layer his other body lotions over this one. I’ll definitely be stocking up on the body lotion next time I pop into Wellness Warehouse (I may even be tempted to do a spot of online shopping, here…)
Pure Beginnings Organic Kids Fun Time Bubble Bath (R55)
Another great recommendation from Kathy, this non-irritating formula fills the air with the delicious aroma of citrus and ylang ylang. I’ve been too scared to use a bubble bath in Bean’s bath up until now, because bubble baths are renowned for containing harsh, irritating ingredients but this one is incredibly gentle, and Bean loved every minute of his first bubble bath.
Have you tried any other baby products (or any products, for that matter!) from the Wellness Warehouse? Please let me know which products you love in the comments below – recommendations are always welcome!
