The past couple of years have been VERY exciting in terms of gorgeous, best-loved International brands arriving on South African shores. I’d never tried Soap & Glory products until rubybox starting stocking them a few months ago, but I’d read so much about this brand in magazines and blogs so I was itching to try them.
Now, rubybox has extended the range with a few new additions. I am most excited to try the infamous Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Butter (R229,95), which was voted Britain’s Best Body Butter, and Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub (R199,95).
Another new addition to rubybox is Suigo, a high-perfomance hair care brand that’s ‘powered by nature and proven by science’. I regularly dye my hair and make use of my flat iron at least three times a week, so I think the Suigo Vital Nutrition Shampoo and Conditioner (R199,95 each), formulated for damaged hair, would be my ideal match.
Retinol seems to be the latest buzzword in beauty and I have read so much about this ingredient’s amazing effects in recent months. Retinol not only stimulates the production of collagen (for plumper skin), it also unclogs your pores for a smoother, more radiant complexion. It is advised that pregnant and breastfeeding women stay clear of retinol, but the minute Bean decides he’s done with breastmilk, I’m going to try Verso, a fantastic Swedish skincare range that is packed with Retinol 8.
