Last week, Beanie and I were invited to pop into the Cotton On Kids store in Sandton City for a fun-filled morning at the Secret Elves Workshop.
Beanie had the opportunity to have his face painted, he munched on his favourite Krispy Kreme donuts, and he even received his own personalised jar of Nutella (you can get your own for just R50 each – the perfect last-minute Christmas pressie!)
While Beanie was kept entertained by Cotton On’s elves, I had the chance to browse Cotton On Kids’ awesome festive goodies and their new summer collection… and I couldn’t resist stocking up on a few extra Christmas goodies for Beanie!
I’ve been looking for a fun pair of summery Christmas jammies for weeks now, and I finally found the raddest little set at Cotton On Kids. Bean Bun is a tad obsessed with all things pirates, skulls, and swords, and he’s long been a fan of playing the guitar (just like his dad!) so this rocking Santa set is right up his alley. Cotton On Kids has a great deal on at the moment where you can buy two pairs of pyjamas for R450, so I bought this pair along with a winter set that I’ve put aside for next winter.
Beanie seems to be growing like a little weed at the moment, and he’s already outgrown the majority of his undies so I immediately popped this pack of undies (wrapped like a Christmas cracker) into my basket when I spotted it. I like to add a few practical goodies to Bean’s Christmas stocking (think body wash, tooth paste, some bubble bath, and socks), so this is a very welcome – and super-cute! – addition.
I also found a handful of other items that were reasonably priced and make the sweetest stocking stuffers – this Light Up Letter Decoration was just R90 and is the perfect finishing touch for Bean’s new big boy bedroom.
As it turns out, Bean got his dad’s genes and is pretty practical by nature, so his Christmas wish list looked a little something like this: an alarm clock (for early wake up calls for his new school), a torch, and some new pens. When I spotted this nifty little Projector Torch, I simply had to have it; I know Beanie is going to love it, and it’s a whole lot more fun than an ordinary torch! They have a variety of designs on offer – I even spotted a little unicorn one!
I also managed to stock up on several pairs of shorts and tees for Beanie’s summer wardrobe, but I’ll be sharing more details in the form of ‘look book’ style blog posts in the coming weeks, so watch this space!
Until then, do yourself a favour and make a point of popping into your nearest Cotton On Kids before Christmas – they really do have the sweetest gifting options, and they’ve got some amazing deals on offer. Some of the deals that stood out to me were: 2 pairs of slops for R120, fun tees for both girls and boys for R120 each, and the pyjamas special that I mentioned above (2 pairs of jammies for R450). Happy shopping, mamas!
