Yup. This headline is totally biographical. In fact, most of the socks I own actually belong to my brother (what can I say? My feet always get cold when I visit him). That’s why I think that a pair of socks – along with a few of his favourite craft beers – would make the perfect pressie for him this Christmas.
For many people, the thought of gifting your brother, father, or husband with a pair of socks may seem like a cop out, but not when they’re as fun as FEAT Sock Co’s range of bright and beautiful socks!
In fact, FEAT Sock Co was started in October 2012 when a sock gifting habit turned into a business idea. There’s no denying it: socks make great gifts, especially when they’re adorned with fun and fabulous designs. From buzzy bees and mischievous monkeys to fried eggs or these fun salad socks, there’s a design to suit all tastes – and all their socks offer the best quality and comfort, and are produced locally in Cape Town, South Africa.
They’ve also done a bunch of awesome collabs with local artists and designers, such as their latest quirky collection that was done in collaboration with Cape Town based creative studio, Hello Mister Frank.
I love their range of matching men’s and women’s socks, and their baby and kiddie socks are beyond adorable – these yellow cat face socks (R105) will definitely be joining Beanie’s sock drawer soon!
As someone who wears a lot of black, I can see the appeal of ‘feature’ socks (which is how FEAT Sock Co got their name – ‘feat’ is short for feature, and is also a play on the word feet. Clever!) They add a bit of flair to any outfit, and they’re a sure conversation starter to boot.
I’ll be giving away a pair of these gorgeous salad socks from FEAT Sock Co (along with a bunch of other fabulous local lovelies) early next week, so if you’re feeling lucky, watch this space! In the meantime, you can head on over the the FEAT Sock Co website for a little browse, or give them a quick follow on Facebook or Instagram to stay up-to-date with new styles.
