The Macadamia Nut Crunch I never knew I needed… and 7 other great things from Faithful-To-Nature

Faithful To Nature

Move over peanut butter… there’s a new nut butter that’s gracing toast and sandwiches galore at the moment, and that’s Antonia’s Raw Stoneground Macadamia Crunch Butter (R149).

This ridiculously indulgent nut butter contains just three ingredients: crunchy macadamia pieces (of course), organic coconut sugar for some added sweetness (minus the sugar highs and lows that come along with regular sugar), and antioxidant-rich organic cacao. It’s packed with plant-based protein and is a good source of fibre, plus it’s rich in a bunch of healthy oils (think oleic and linoleic fatty acids). Beanie and I have had to reign ourselves in, otherwise we’d be eating toast topped with this crunchy, nutty butter for every meal!

According to the jar, you can also drizzle this over fruit salads or pop a spoonful into your smoothies… I think it’d be utterly delectable on crumpets or pancakes, too! You can buy a jar online via Faithful-To-Nature over here – and while you’re at it, take a look at a few other goodies I’ve got my eyes on!

Soylites Coconut Candle (R165)

Ok, so this is a bit of a cheat, as I already have one of these sweet-smelling beauties on my bedside table. I’ve got the vanilla, coconut, and lime scented candle and it is utterly dreamy! I love that this candle is made using coconut oil as it’s base – particularly welcome after I’ve done some research into just how harmful candles are to both your health and the environment! This non-toxic beauty offers 50 hours of burn time, and it’s gorgeous scent fills up a room within minutes. I absolutely love mine, and can’t wait to get another!

Esse Foundation (R595)

Guys! Esse has just launched a foundation! If you’re familiar with this natural, local beauty brand, you’ll understand my excitement… Not only is Esse’s Foundation made using mineral pigments, but it also contains probiotics, just like it’s skincare range. In fact, Esse’s Foundation contains one million tyndallised probiotic bacteria per milliliter – I’m not quite sure exactly what this means, but I’m told that it’s good for your skin. It also boasts an SPF of 30, and is approved by both PETA and The Vegan Society. Literally cannot wait to smear this goodie on my face!

Simply Bamboo Kids Toothbrush (R58)

I recently started using a bamboo toothbrush and I’ve loved it, so I’ve decided that it’s time to switch Bean’s toothbrush to a bamboo option – and about time too, since it’s estimated that approximately 212 million conventional plastic toothbrushes are thrown away and sent to landfills each year! A very scary thought, given that these plastic toothbrushes can’t be recycled and do not biodegrade. This seems like a quick, simple switch that will make a real difference.

Pure Beginnings Fun Time Hand Wash with organic Rooibos (R73)

Living in Greyton has it’s perks, which include almost-daily play dates at the river for Beanie now that it’s school holidays. Picture it: a group of about 6 or 7 little boys ranging from 5 to 8 years old, all running through the river, digging trenches, making mud pies… it seems like a pretty idyllic life, unless you’re the mom responsible for the laundry and making sure that filthy little hands are relatively clean come lunch time, that is! I like having a bottle of Pure Beginnings Fun Time Hand Wash on my bathroom sink for Beanie to wash his hands – I know that I can trust the formula to clean his hands thoroughly, but gently at the same time. I’m a fan of all of their products, to be honest – but this is an absolute must for me at the moment!

Kuro-Bo Go-Eco Glass Water Bottle (R240 for 550ml)

I’m (still) trying to up my water drinking game, so I’ve got my eye on one of these gorgeous glass Kuro-Bo Go-Eco Glass Water Bottles. It’s made from reinforced borosilicate glass, which means that it’s much stronger than regular glass so better able to withstand knocks. You can use the elegant glass bottle as is, or pair it with Kuro-Bo Activated Charcoal Koins (which is what I’ll be doing) for a natural, portable water filter.

Himalayan Crystal Salt Deodorant Bar (R51)

I’m currently on the prowl for the perfect, most effective natural deodorant, and I’m keen to try this Himalayan Crystal Salt Deodorant Bar next. This Himalayan crystal salt bar is 100% pure and natural; made from nothing but naturally occurring pink Himalayan salt. It’s said that the bar has natural antibacterial and exfoliating properties that leave your skin naturally fresh and odour-free, without clogging your pores or staining your clothes. Not only can you use it as a natural underarm deodorant, but also as a remedy for smelly feet or even as a head-to-toe natural cleansing bar!

(Yet another jar of) Health Connection Mustard Bath Powder (R59 for 500g)

I almost always have a tub of this mustard bath powder on my bathroom shelf – it’s an absolute treat after a long, stressful day, and even better when you’re coming down with a cold or ‘flu. It immediately relieves sore, achey muscles, and the aroma helps to clear sinuses, relieve headaches, and soothe your mind. I love adding a handful (or five) of this mustard bath powder to a hot, steamy bath after a yoga class or my weekly ballet lessons… it’s the epitome of self-care for me!
