A couple of months ago, I was invited to pop into The Earthy Pamper Room here in Greyton to experience an indulgent Esse facial – and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect!
It was in the middle of a chilly, drizzly, grey winter, and both my skin and my soul were in desperate need of a little TLC. I struggle with pigmentation and it remains one of my biggest skincare woes (and it’s something I’m continuously working on), but I’ve also noticed an increase in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes and on my forehead. The joys of fast-approaching my mid-30s, I suppose!
The owner of The Earthy Inn & Pamper Room, Collette, is a qualified skincare therapist who is truly passionate about what she does – and it shows. She treated my skin to a 60-minute Esse Skin Boost Facial (R250), which included a cleanse, exfoliation, heavenly facial massage, and mask, followed by Esse’s youth boosting serum and a moisturiser to finish. Esse Probiotic Skincare is renowned for their certified organic, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly skincare products that contain beneficial microbes to ensure that your skin is at it’s healthiest and happiest, and I can’t even begin to describe just how incredible my skin looked (and felt!) after my facial.
Collette has an amazing, calming energy and incredibly healing hands that almost sent me right to sleep. The Esse Skin Boost Facial also includes the most relaxing foot massage, which is an added extra that is so welcome – especially considering that most of us tend to neglect our feet and hardly show them the love and care that they deserve!
The Earthy Pamper Room is tucked away in a beautiful garden at the back of the The Earthy Inn, which is situated on Greyton’s Main Road. If you’re planning on visiting Greyton in the near future, you must book your stay here – not only will you get the utmost care and attention to detail from Collette, but the facilities are top-notch and the decor is exquisite!
